The Climate Group recently piloted several schemes in 12 cities around the world and found that in some cases LED lights accounted for an 85% reduction in energy costs.

An additional benefit to upgrading to LED is a reduction in crime and accidents. This is because in a lot of areas councils dim or switch off lighting in the early hours, but with LED lights its possible to exert a greater level of control over the lighting and keep areas lit for longer, making people feel safer and the roads more accident free.
